The Novelist Who Changed My Mind
An interview with Lana Delmoure
My reading has generally had a practical purpose. Cooking, sport, beer-making and smallholding management account for much of it, usually because there is something I want to learn or try. Fiction has barely had a look in, and romantic fantasy would have been particularly unlikely.
Then I read Lana Delmoure. By the end of
her second novel, I was having some difficulty defending my rather dismissive
view of fiction. I wanted to know how she had managed to draw me in, so I asked
her for an interview.
The interview will appear here shortly.
There is a writing routine I hadn’t expected, and a connection between her
travels and the worlds she invents. Lana also gives a glimpse of the book she
is working on next.
